WHO WE ARE
Seasonal RV sites available May 1 - Oct 31
Marks Bay Cottages and Campground is located West of Sault Ste. Marie, near the St. Mary's River. We are a seasonal RV Park and we also rent cottages and Park Model RV lots for use year round. We are not an overnight campground.
We have 7 two bedroom fully serviced cottages for rent on a monthly basis; 31 fully serviced Park Model Sites and 55 fully serviced RV sites for rent on a seasonal basis.
Our grounds are adjacent to the Sault Ste. Marie Region Conservation Authority's Marks Bay Conservation Area; a 103 hectare (254 acre) site that includes 3 km of shoreline on the St. Mary's River.
The sandy shoreline is perfect for swimming, boating, fishing, or just relaxing and watching lake freighters going by.
The forested area has a number of old logging roads and deer trails for hiking, and plenty of birds, small animals, and deer for nature lovers.

ACTIVITIES
Our playground includes a large sandy area complete with small gazebo/playhouse, swings, a slide, and climbing apparatus. We also have a small paved basketball court with two hoops for those that like to dribble. The playground area is located in the southeast end of the Seasonal RV park, where vehicle traffic is minimal. There is also a small parking area.
We host a number of community events through the camping season. As our campers and residents are longer term we truly have a small community at Mark’s Bay. We have had Canada Day Parades, Musical Entertainment, and many other community oriented events.
At the back of our lodge is a nice gathering area, complete with two bocce ball courts, a gazebo for a band or other uses, picnic tables, chairs, charcoal barbecue stands, and more..
There are plenty of nature trails adjacent to our campground within the Mark’s Bay Conservation Area, and more challenging trails that begin just a short drive away.
The conservation area is 254 acres in size and contains a number of old logging roads and deer trails in a mostly forested area for picturesque hiking and nature viewing. The area is home to numerous deer, birds, and other wildlife.
Nearby our campground is the St. Mary’s River, and the Mark’s Bay Conservation Area, which has a 3 km long sandy waterfront, including some areas perfect for swimming.
Waterfront access is provided via a 20 minute hike, or via a short car ride to the Conservation Area public boat launch and beach.
Day trips in your car can also bring you to many sandy beaches perfect for swimming along the Lake Superior shoreline.
If recreational fishing is your hobby of choice, there are lots of great fishing opportunities right outside our campground.
Mark’s Bay is on the St. Mary’s River, home to some of the best inland fishing in the world.
If you like boating there is plenty of open water to explore. For larger boats there are public marinas and boat launches in Sault Ste. Marie, approximately a 20 minute drive from our Campground.
If kayaking or canoeing is your pleasure, there are plenty of opportunities near our Campground.
We are located near the St. Mary’s River, which Joins Lake Superior with Lake Huron and Lake Michigan. Some of the best kayak and canoeing is available in this area. There are also plenty of smaller inland lakes in the region to be ventured out on if you are a beginner or want a more leisurely experience.
